UPDATE: The condition of three-time former world champion Hector Camacho worsened overnight.

The 50-year-old's heart stopped at one point, although he was clinging to life.

Camacho and a friend were both shot while they sat in a car outside a bar in his home town of Bayamon in Puerto Rico on Tuesday night.

A police spokesman said officers found nine small bags of cocaine in the dead friend's pocket and a 10th bag open inside the car.
