Book fair aims to help raise $220k

THE official launch of the Save the Heart of Federal campaign on Saturday will begin with a book fair and end with a film.

The book fair runs from 9am to noon and all money raised will go towards fundraising efforts to buy the former Anglican church in Federal.

Also on the day a cash "barometer" will be unveiled as the community counts down the $220,000 required to buy the church from the Grafton diocese.

Jane Campion's film Bright Star will round out the day at the Federal Hall from 6.30pm. Dinner will be available.
