Bombers aim to keep on winning

EVANS Head will be looking to continue their winning run in the NRRRL when they host Ballina at Stan Payne Oval tomorrow.

The Bombers have won three in a row to keep their season alive – just – but they run into a Seagulls outfit that is coming to full-strength.

A surplus of back-rowers sees Ballina coach Greg Barnes shift Ed Killingbeck and Dane Clarke to the centres which will limit Evans’ ability to find a way to the tryline.

“We have got the pack to stop them from coming through us, now if they want to go around us they will find it pretty stiff as well,” Barnes said.

“It’s all hands on deck for us so we are trying a few things leading into the finals.”

Bullocking prop Dean Ihalainen returns to the side after delaying his previously planned knee surgery adding further explosiveness to the Seagulls.

Evans Head has been able to name an almost unchanged side with Sam Kennedy into the centres for Eli Cook.

Match from 2:45pm.
