Blues to meet Queensland head-on

NEW South Wales prop Aaron Woods has laughed off suggestions the Blues would be nervous against a Queensland forward pack out for blood in Origin game three in Brisbane on Wednesday night.

"No way in the world - I love it. I'll put my body in front of anyone," Woods told Fox Sports. "It's one of the best experiences I'll ever get to feel. It's the best ever."

Despite Queensland having already lost the series, a full house is expected at Suncorp Stadium where all 49 of the Maroons players who have been part of the eight-series winning streak will be honoured before kick-off.

Woods acknowledged most of the crowd would be baying for blood, but said losing game three was not in the game plan.

"We've talked about it - we don't want to go up there and win 2-1. We want to lift the shield on a high," Woods (pictured) said.

Blues teammate Luke Lewis agreed, saying the players were well aware of the importance of restoring pride after eight barren years.

"Every Origin game is a moment in history for yourself, family, friends," Lewis said.

"I know Queensland definitely won't be taking it as a dead rubber."
