HOLLIE Jarrett puts her soul into playing for Bangalow Bluedogs - now the club has her heart as well.

The striker was on target as the club's women's side claimed the Football FNC premier division title with a 3-0 win over Alstonville FC.

It was a memorable triumph for perennial bridesmaids Bluedogs who have had to play second fiddle in recent years to highly successful Villa.

Delighted Jarrett, who has been with the club for five years, said it was a success built on hard work and commitment.

"I will never play for another club again," she said. "This is where my heart is.

"Everyone at the club is so supportive. We didn't miss one training session this year, even when the weather was terrible.

"It's a bit surreal to get this one. We've been waiting a while.

'I'm just really happy."

Friday night's match was expected to be a close final between the two dominant sides in the region's senior women's football competition.

A double strike by this season's Golden Boot winner, Jade Bianchetti, sandwiching a well-taken goal from strike partner Jarrett, helped clinch the title for the Bluedogs at Lismore's Oakes Oval.

The win meant Banaglow ends the recent domination of grand finals by Alstonville.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jarrett has played soccer for almost 20 years and said it had been a season to savour.

"This has been one of my most enjoyable years of playing," she said.

"I think the friendship of everyone kept the girls together.

"There's a really good community here.

"It is quite a progressive club and things are moving forward.

"It's just incredibly amazing to have won."
