Blasting on Pacific Highway for upgrade

CONTROLLED rock blasting will be carried out near the Pacific Hwy at Glenugie as part of the upgrade of the highway between Woolgoolga and Ballina.

The blasting will be carried out on Wednesday between 1pm and 1.30pm near Bald Knob Rd.

For the safety of workers and motorists all traffic on the Pacific Hwy and Bald Knob Rd will be temporarily stopped during controlled blasting.

Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes for each controlled blast and are advised to plan travel around these times or allow extra time for their journeys.

Electronic message boards on the side of the highway will also be used to advise motorists of controlled blast times and traffic stoppages.

All dates and times will be on the RMS website.
