Multiple stabbings leave one dead, one in jail

A MAN is dead and a bikie is behind bars following two separate stabbings in NSW.

Police were called to a building site at St Clair where they found a man, aged in his 40s, with multiple stab wounds on Monday morning.

Attempts to revive the man, who had not been formally identified on Monday, failed.

Another man attended the Campsie police station later in the day and was assisting police with their inquiries.

At Coonabarabran, in the state's west, four members of the Life and Death outlaw motorcycle gang allegedly fled the scene of a stabbing at a local hotel.

A 41-year-old man, who was not a member of the gang, was allegedly stabbed in the stomach and chest during a pub brawl.

He was taken to the Dubbo hospital in a stable condition.

Raids of Coonabarabran home allegedly uncovered a van, a pistol, knuckle dusters, guns, cannabis and a knife.

One bikie was arrested and charged with drug and weapons offences while three others were released pending further inquiries.
