Big wet hits soccer

GROUND closures are playing havoc with Football FNC premier league soccer, with three games this weekend postponed and the other two in doubt.

The match between premiers Richmond Rovers and Byron Bay is off, with the Rams' field failing to recover after a torrential soaking this week.

Thistles Park in Lismore is also closed, postponing the Blues' clash with Alstonville.

A decision will be made this morning on Weston Park, Goonellabah, where the top-of-the-table Hornets should account for last-placed Bangalow if they get the green light for a 5pm kick-off.

Lismore Workers' home clash with Pottsville is also off, while Italo Stars will inspect their ground tomorrow morning before their scheduled Sunday afternoon fixture against Ballina.
