Slice of fun at Kingscliff library

IT'S time to get those beady eyes into creating some masterpieces in the jewellery department.

Come along to Kingscliff Library on Wednesday, January 11, and you will also get a big slice of pizza.

The library is running a Beadwork with Pizza day from 3.30pm for kids aged 7-12 years.

They will get access to a myriad of beads to create bracelets, earrings, necklaces and just about anything else you can create out of the colourful medium.

"Boys and girls can equally enjoy the activity," library technician Larry Price said.

"They can make gifts for friends and family."

Mr Price was a novice himself until he realised that his fly-fishing experience came in very handy.

"It's a very similar process," he said.

"I'm looking forward to the activity and keen to see some of the creations that come from the day.

"I have to admit that I'm also looking forward to the pizza."

On Wednesday, January 25, the library will also host a Fridge Magnet and Ice Cream day from 3.30pm for the same age group.

That event is already booked out.

"It should be a lot of fun," Mr Price said.

For bookings for the Beadwork and Pizza day call the library on 02 6674 1607.
