Beautiful but brief beach art preserved as Photo of the Day

TRISH Threlfall gets her second Photo of the Day in under a week with this lovely image of sand art on the beach at Byron Bay.
This image had some stiff competition in yesterday's poll, but blitzed the vote, with 42% of poll participants choosing it as their favourite.
Photo of the day celebrates the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the talent of the region's photographers.
As well as appearing here, the Photo of the Day is published on Page 2 of the paper, is used as the cover image on our Facebook page and forms part of an expanding gallery on our website.
