Batman: Arkham Origins Trailer - Game Informer Coverage

Batman returns with origin story video game

BATMAN is back.

The May cover of magazine Gameinformer has revealed a new video game in the critically acclaimed Arkham series is coming to current generation consoles later this year.

Batman: Arkham Origins, as the title suggests, will feature a younger Caped Crusader encountering many of the greatest members of his rogue gallery for the first time.

Rumours suggest the game will be set on the streets on Gotham on Christmas Eve, when eight assassins have been hired to take care of the vigilante.

The game will be developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal instead of Rocksteady, who steered the ship for first two games, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

The game will be released worldwide on Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on OCtober 25, 2013.

Another game, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, will be released on the Nintendo 3DS and Playstation Vita on the same day.

It will be set after the events of Arkham Origins.
