Very happy Friday - it's Work In The Nude Day!

PACKAGE deliverers may in for a shock or two today, as home businesses around Australia celebrate Work In The Nude Day.

Australian micro business community Flying Solo is the driving force behind the day, which it says is "devoted to rejoicing in the freedoms of working by yourself, from your home".

The second celebration of the annual event, held on the first Friday of summer, is attracting plenty of interest, with participants sharing selfies of their naked celebrations in their home offices.

For the slightly more inhibited, there are other options, including costumes.

The companies rules of engagement for Work In The Nude Day are:

  • Wear your birthday suit: Simply strip off and get down to business as usual! Even if only for an hour or two. This is freedom in its purest form. Enjoy it - because only people who work from home can.

  • Wear whatever the heck you want: The beauty of working from home is that you can wear anything you like - be it Ugg boots or a Batman costume. Redefine "dressed for success".

Sharing images with the rest of the world is optional.

This morning 128 people had pledged to support the event, with  20 choosing the more secretive "maybe" option.
