Bankrupt Panther in more strife

A SUNSHINE Coast businessman who was placed on probation last year for falsifying documents faces further charges.

Wayne Douglas Panther is charged with failing to disclose bankruptcy when obtaining credit, failing to disclose bankruptcy when obtaining goods or services and obtaining an amount of $3000 or more for goods and services without informing the other party of bankruptcy.

Mr Panther headed the boat-building company SeaLube, which collapsed in 2011.

He was placed on a year's probation in August last year after admitting he falsified documents to maintain the confidence of an investor in the business.

Neither Mr Panther nor his lawyer fronted court when the latest charges were mentioned in Maroochydore Magistrates Court yesterday.

His lawyer requested an adjournment to which the prosecution agreed.

The court heard further charges had been laid recently against Mr Panther but no further information on them was available yesterday.

The matter was adjourned until February 20.
