Bank worker 'stole from customers'

A FEMALE bank worker accused of stealing almost $250,000 from clients in NSW has been charged with fraud.

The 39-year-old was arrested late Monday and has since been released on conditional bail.

Police will allege that between October 2010 and January this year the woman, who worked for an inner-city bank, transferred almost $250,000 from client's bank accounts into her personal account.

She will front court on August 14.
