Reece takes third at Singles

BALLINA’S Reece Wilson enjoyed a stunning run through to the final four of the Summerland Singles yesterday.

In the quarter-final, the 17-year-old faced former Australian representative and tournament favourite, Ian Taylor.

After trailing 7-0 after two ends and by 16-5 midway through the match the mercurial Wilson produced the goods under pressure to prevail 25-18.

Wilson’s run came to an end in the semis when he was defeated by his pairs partner and eventual singles winner Jamie Eichorn.
