Ballina car fire was deliberately lit, say police

POLICE are seeking two men in relation to a car fire in Ballina early this morning. 

About 5.15am a Mitsubishi Magna was engulfed in flames in Mulloway Place, Ballina, off North Creek Rd. 

Police and firefighters attended the scene and extinguished the flames but the car was destroyed.

Richmond Inspector Wayne Crotty said two men were seen leaving the area by witnesses shortly after the fire started.

The car was registered to an address in Mulloway Place and police have also interviewed the owner about the incident.
