Bailey makes State side

BAILEY VEITCH, a Marist Brothers under-12 junior rugby league prop, has been selected as one of only three regional players for the State side to compete at the Primary All Schools Boys rugby league championships.

Last year, the 12-year-old, who attends Lismore’s St Carthage’s Primary School, was named the best-and-fairest player for his age at the Ben Kennedy Legends of League Macquarie University Shield.

“He has so much talent and I’m very proud of him and what he is achieving, proud mum, Melissa, said.

“But it’s so expensive and we need to raise around $3000 for fares and accommodation.”

Bailey will travel to Newcastle in two weeks for four days of training, then returning for a week before travelling to Adelaide for the championships.

Any person, club, or business wishing to assist Bailey meet costs can contact his mum on 0438-831838.
