Backsliders bring blues to Ballina

ST FRANCIS Xavier Primary School is sliding into their fundraising efforts with the help of legendary blues band The Backsliders.

The school has been raising money for Youth with Disabilities Foundation for Education and Employment (YODIFEE), a school in Cambodia.

After raising money for instruments, art and craft supplies the school now has its sights set on a disabled capable bus.

Backsliders, including slide guitarist, singer and multi-instrumentalist Dom Turner and former Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst, head up from Sydney to support the cause.

The Backsliders play St Francis Xavier Primary School, Ballina on Saturday, December 1.

Tickets $30 from the school office or All Music and Vision, Lismore and Ballina.
