Backing the bulls in a fight for bucking supremacy

IN THE sport of professional bull riding there are two great athletes; the rider and the bull, both of whom are determined to defeat the other.

Grafton-born stock contractor Dan Klabe, who will bring 10 of his best bulls to the local PBR event on Saturday, knows which athletes he will be putting his money on.

“The way they’ve been riding lately, I’m going to back the bulls,” he said.

One of Klabe’s bulls to watch out for is current PBR classic champion called Devil’s Dance, who is the product of Klabe’s heavy investment in specialised breeding.

Come Saturday at the Grafton Showgrounds, fans will get to witness a pen of bulls that originate from a number of different breeding programs.

In total, there will be five stock contractors, all hand-picked to deliver 50 of their best bulls for the Rural Weekly Live Series Grafton event.

Tickets to Saturday’s event can be bought at ruralweekly.com.au/
