Baby sleeping bags pose ‘potential choking hazard’

BIG W has issued a recall on one of its brands of baby sleeping bags, after it revealed the press studs could come loose and become a choking hazard.

The department store, in a statement issued this morning, says Dymples Infants 00-2 sleeping bags were affected by the recall.

The prints include: Grey bears (article numbers: 400511, 400510, 400512, 400513); blue vehicles (article numbers: 400515, 400514, 400516, 400517); white bunny (article numbers: 400523, 400522, 400524, 400525); and pink hearts (article numbers: 400527, 400526, 400528, 400529).

The product's article number can be found on the reverse side of the care label.

All products were sold in BIG W stores nationally from January 25 to April 15.

"Customers should immediately cease using the above listed Dymples Infants 00-2 sleeping bags and return them to any BIG W store for a full refund," the statement says.

"BIG W apologises to its customers for any inconvenience caused by this recall."
