Awesome foursome race into NSW 4 Cylinder Title fight
FOUR local drivers will contest the NSW 4 Cylinder Title at Cullen Bullen raceway near Lithgow this weekend.
Matt Claydon, Trent Dhu, Ben Scully and Luke Watt have been some of the top performers in the division this season.
Dhu is the current title holder and will be looking to retain his crown.
He will start favourite after strong runs in Maryborough where he had a podium finish in the lead-up.
Claydon suffered a roll over and mechanical problems recently but will be hoping the bad luck is behind him.
He is a Lismore junior who has worked his way up through the divisions over the years.
Scully has also featured on the podium this season with all four drivers capable of winning it on the night.
Meanwhile, Watt is fighting to get back on track after his car was destroyed during a race last month.
He is being helped by the Dhu family, who has donated parts, and a GoFundMe page was set up to assist with money.
Watt, 21, was born with caudal regression syndrome, which means he is missing the lower part of his spine, resulting in his legs not forming properly. He uses custom hand controls to race.
He won last season’s Rookie of the Year and is currently in third position for the NSW 4 Cylinder Title.
