Over 60 students from St.Brigid's Kyogle recently submitted entries into the 2nd Annual Helen and Harry Flower Memorial Short Story Writing Competition being held by the Kyogle Writers Group.

The theme for this year's competition was 'How I Imagine the Future' and the students had to write a piece that was less than 500 words.

Three of the students received special commendations and were asked to read their stories to the audience at the Award Presentation held in the Kyogle Library on Saturday morning.

Well done to Stella Harley, Ellie Mudge and Zac Cuneen for being recognised for their work and congratulations to past student Billy Chalmers who took out the competition in the 13-16 year age group.
