Austin drives Saints to another victory

FOOTBALL: Southampton striker Charlie Austin made it seven goals in six games in his team's 3-1 English Premier League victory over Burnley.

The England frontman has been in sublime form but said it was more important the Saints just kept on winning.

"I've got seven goals in the last six but we are seven unbeaten, that's the main thing,” he said.

"We knew it would be a frustrating afternoon if we didn't score early but once we scored one we kicked on.

"This team will always create chances, it's a dream for any striker. I am in the right place at the right time.”

Nathan Redmond also scored as Southampton cruised home despite conceding its first goal in more than 10 hours of football.

Burnley now sits three places above 17th-placed Middlesbrough, which has yet to win at the Riverside this season after losing to Watford in a low-quality encounter.

The only moment of class came from Jose Holebas, whose 20-yard shot surprised Victor Valdes in the Boro goal.
