Aussie attack in table tennis

FOUR Aussies will serve up a feast when the men's and women's table tennis competition gets underway today.

In the women's singles, Chinese-born Miao Miao will play Czech Dana Hadacova at 9pm (AEST), while Lay Jian Fang, also born in China, will play her first match at 11.30pm.

Both women will become the first table tennis players to represent Australia at four Olympics.

Miao has already etched her place in the history books, reaching the doubles quarter-finals with Shirley Zhou at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

In the men's competition, Justin Han will play Togo's Mawussi Agbetoglo (at 6.45pm) while William Henzell will take on Adam Pattantyus from India at 1am tomorrow morning.
