Attempted armed robbery

LISMORE Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery which occurred about 3.30am on Sunday morning.

Police will allege a 22-year-old man walking along Caniaba Street, Lismore was approached by a man of Aboriginal appearance demanding money before grabbing the victim.

Fearing for his safety the victim attempted to run from the area.

Police said the man received a 20cm cut to his left arm from what was believed to be a razor.

Police are seeking any information in relation to the offender who is described as about 25 years old, light tanned skin, short dark hair, 180 – 185cm tall wearing a white t-shirt with a motif on the front and dark pants. He had diamond-type earrings in each ear.
