Art workshop for children

LOCAL artist Dave Funnell is once again hitting the road in the annual Clarence Valley Library creative workshop tour. In its third year the tour takes creative fun to libraries across the Clarence Valley.

Entitled Meet the Rellies Aussie Scrimshaw, these free workshops for children will involve creating art on thongs using various mediums joined with story- telling.

The tour starts at Grafton Library at 10.30am on Thursday, August 11.

It is inspired by the exhibition Dave Funnell - Meet the Rellies and Theatre in a Box on display at Grafton Regional Gallery until August 28.

The drawings in the exhibition introduce us to Dave’s pretend relatives, the ones he escapes to when his real relations get too weird to cope with.

Grafton Regional Gallery is located at 158 Fitzroy Street Grafton.
