Where stars get their wishes granted

JESSICA SIMPSON and her new beau, John Mayer, could be cuddling up tonight in a room prepared by designer Mandy Peters.
Mandy, of Byron Bay, spent yesterday decorating the dressing rooms of stars on the Blues Fest bill ? including John Mayer who has recently started a relationship with pop starlet and divorcee Jessica Simpson.
The couple are reportedly staying at The Byron @ Byron resort and have been seen around town by local celebrity spotters.
Tropical flowers and baskets full of chocolates were yesterday scattered around the dressing rooms by Mandy, who designs each space according to the artists' individual needs.
She was tight-lipped about special requests made this year, but admitted Michael Franti had once asked her to build an altar in his room.
"There actually haven't been any bizarre requests for this year yet, but Blues Fest performers have smaller egos than others," Mandy said.
"They're all pretty easygoing and down-to-earth." The stars' dressing-rooms all join a common room filled with plush sofas, artwork, gourmet treats and a table-tennis table.
The area will be the most exclusive at Red Devil Park over the five-day festival.
Even VIP ticket holders will be denied access.
By yesterday afternoon VIP tickets were still available for today ? the passes are $100 a day which gives you access to the VIP bar and four complimentary drinks, but they do not give you admission to the venue. If you can spare the cash to feel special, call 6685-8310 between 10am and 5pm.
