Theyre counting the sleeps to Gromfest

TWO young surfers among the 330 counting the sleeps until the Rusty Gromfest starts on Friday are Stephanie Single of Lennox Head and Soli Bailey of Suffolk Park.

Stephanie, 12, was the 2006 Queensland Micro Grom champion, 2006 Rusty Gromfest semi-finalist and 2007 Under-14 girls Far North Coast regional champion.

Soli, also 12, was a 2006 Rusty Gromfest semi finalist and 2007 Under-14 boys Far North Coast regional champion.

Coach Jenny Boggis believes both have the potential to be professional surfers.

They both fell just short of making the final in the Rusty Gromfest last year and this year are still contesting the 12 years under division.
