The men behind the shoppers

GOONELLABAH'S Dean Turner knows to take more than his wallet when he shops with girlfriend Alana Woods.
"Patience," he said.
Showing lots of it, Dean helped Alana make the right decision at Bondfield Shoes on Saturday, during Lismore Unlimited's Stocktake Sale at the weekend.
"I'm looking for one thing, a camera bag, and she's looking for a million ? shoes, clothes, bags," said Dean.
Scott Higgins clocked up his brownie points with fiancee Vicki Frankham during the mid-year clearance sales. Scott provided Vicki, both of Lismore, with expert advice as she tried on dresses from Boutique 2000.
"I get dragged along," he said. "I don't mind as long as it's her money she spends."
Meanwhile, Neville Gardiner of Woodburn, was happy to sit back and wait for his daughters to peruse bargains in Lismore Jewel Centre.
"I'm not a real shopper," he said.
"But I can't complain, I've just been to Primex and bought a set of forks for the tractor, a back rub for the cattle and a ride-on lawn mower."
