Tahlia just misses final

By ADAM HICKS sport@northernstar.com.au BANGALOW Public School swimmer Tahlia Bourke has narrowly missed out on a spot in the State finals in the 50m breaststroke.

Tahlia was a joint junior girls champion after her school's swimming carnival and progressed through the zone finals into the regional finals where she just missed a place in the State finals.

Back at the school carnival and Darcie Balcon was also named junior girls champion with Tahlia.

In the junior boys section, three swimmers shared the honours, with Tom Rowley, Michael Krippner and Connor Harding all joint winners.

David Krippner, Tom Jarrett and Aaron Elliot were the joint 11 years boys age champions.

The 11 years girls age champions were Sophie McGregor and Rhianna Rudgley.

The senior boys division was dominated by competitors whose names begin with H: Hamish Harding and Henry Hanson.

Maddy Rowley and Anna Chaussemiche were the senior girls age champions.
