Sth Casino?s McLennan 200 not out
SOUTH Casino Cricket Club members have a way with the bat.
The latest offering is from 16-year-old Pierce McLennan, pictured, who scored 200 not out in B Grade against Cecil Hotel on Saturday.
He notched 26 fours in an innings lasting just over four hours.
His captain ultimately declared the innings with the score at 401. Cecil will bat next week.
According to Casino cricket diehards, Pierce's 200 not out was the first double century scored in Casino's B Grade competition and the first in Casino since 1977-78 when Jeff Walsh made 207 not out in A Grade.
The South Casino club also boasts the highest score made in Casino when Stan Bowen hit an incredible 270 retired in 1934-35.
