Smith misses final

GRAFTON Paralympian Jessica Smith gave her all but missed a place in the final of the 100m women's S9 freestyle final in Athens. South African Natalie du Toit, the 100m butterly winner in world record time, also took out the 100m freestyle final in 1:02.83, just outside her own world record time. Nineteen-year-old Smith's next event will be the women's 100m freestyle relay and 50m S9 freestyle heats on Sunday. .
