Slaves to the dirt



FIVE Byron Bay locals, all of them members of the Dirt Slaves Northern NSW Mountain Bike Club, performed well at the recent Sunshine Downhill Series on the outskirts of Brisbane.

Rubbing shoulders with the big international names like Jared Graves and Chris Kovarik, the Byron boys recorded the following results: Yuki Inoue fifth in Under-19, James Lawson (sport) 19th, Simon Drury (hardtail) a commendable fifth and Allister Merrit ninth. Dirt Slaves is affiliated with Mountain Bike Australia and organises regular rides, social and racing.
