EVANS Head local Ruben Roxburgh is gunning for two categories in the 17th Evans Head Longboard Invitational surfing finals today.

Roxburgh surged into the finals of the open 9-foot and will contest the semi-finals of the Bic division this morning.

Roxburgh and Josh Cooper (Queensland) dominated the semi-finals of the open 9-foot, while Roxburgh will have a good contest against Angourie's Bryce Young this morning in the Bic.

Another looking to take out two divisions is Queenslander Mitch Surman. Surman is in the finals of the junior boys and the open 9-foot.

In the old mal division, Mark Fuller (Eungai) and Ian Williams (Byron) have been the standout surfers.
