Rosehill is the priority

GOLD COAST jockey Chris Whiteley will ride at Rosehill today before flying home tonight to ride at the Lismore Turf Club meeting tomorrow.

Whiteley turned down rides at Doomben and on the Gold Coast to ride Legendary Man at Rosehill for Coffs Harbour trainer Ken Lantry.

He was also snapped up by Warwick Farm trainer Gary Portelli to ride Lightspeed and Just A Mystery.

Whiteley has five rides in Lismore, including the Gold Coast-trained Queen Amidala in the Gentle Giants Sportswear Open Handicap (1516m).

Queen Amidala had excellent form last preparation including wins at Rockhampton and Eagle Farm and three placings at Doomben, two at Eagle Farm and one on the Gold Coast.

But she hurt her back at her second run back, at Doomben, and Traynor eventually called in a chiropractor.

"It took him a while to fix it but she is 100 per cent now," Traynor said.

Queen Amidala will have to overcome the top weight, High Octave, which could not have been more impressive in winning the Rousillon Handicap in track record time last month before running third at Eagle Farm at his last start.
