Roar to liven up Lismore

HYUNDAI A-League soccer franchise Queensland Roar will play in Lismore next month.

They will take on the North Coast Suns and the North Coast All Stars.

The Roar will spend two days in the region promoting the new Hyundai A-League and giving soccer supporters the opportunity to meet the players and pick up autographs.

The success of Todd Gava, a former Italo Stars junior, in being signed by the Roar encouraged the club to consider embracing the area, Soccer Far North Coast general manager Matt Kelso said.

The North Coast Suns and the North Coast All Stars will start training at Southern Cross University next Friday.
