Region honours it's HSC high achievers

TO relax during the HSC, Xavier Catholic College students, Sam Cromack and Meghan Ellis would share a stool and play the piano together. The pair must be in tune with each other, as yesterday they were both named on the state's HSC high achievers list. Sam and Meghan, who have been a couple for most of the year, achieved scores of over 90 in 10 units of study. Sam said he wouldn't have received such a high mark without Meg's influence: "She was always so motivated and that rubbed off on me." Meg said having Sam's calming influence around was a huge help. However, the couple are now parting ways. Meg has decided to follow her dream of studying Art Theory and move to Sydney. Sam has decided to follow his dream of studying music and move to Brisbane. Meg described telling Sam of her imminent move as 'horrible. 'However, Sam said knowing they were both pursuing their passions softened the blow. The pair's English teacher, Vincent Trirro said Sam and Meghan had amazing brains and wished them both a 'great life.' Whether that is a life together or on separate stages, only fate can decide.
