Reg hits back with winner

NELLIE BLIGH again proved her liking for the Lismore track when she scored a great win in the Southside Agencies Free For All (420m) at the Lismore greyhounds on Tuesday night.

The Reg Gardoll-trained sprinter landed in front from box four and continued to the line strongly to beat Cage by three-quarters of a length with Houndini Spirit a length away third.

The winner clocked 24.32s. Nellie Bligh has now won 11 races at Lismore with nine minor placings from 26 starts.

After an unlucky night of racing in Sydney on Saturday night, it was good to see Gardoll back in the winners circle and all wish him good health in recovering from his recent knee operation.

A healthy crowd watched the night's racing, with money raised going to Kids In Community, whose awards recognise the positive contributions of youth.
