Proud of her starring cousin

Charlotte Kippax is not quite hating Delta Goodrem, but she thinks Saskia Burmeister is much better.

The 12-year-old Lismore girl got a special premiere screening on Wednesday night of new movie Hating Alison Ashley, starring Delta and Saskia ? who is also Charlotte's cousin.

"I thought Saskia was great and better than Delta," said Charlotte.

"But I am her cousin so maybe that's why, although I do think Delta is more of a singer than an actress."

Charlotte said it was a surreal experience seeing her 20-year-old cousin from Bellingen in the main role of Erica Yurkin (Alison Ashley's arch nemesis).

"It didn't seem like it was her. It wasn't until the morning after that it sunk in that it was her on the screen," she said.

"I called before I went to see the movie in Lismore and she was about to go to the premiere in Melbourne. I felt really proud."

Charlotte said she hoped the talent ran in the family blood, as she was also an aspiring movie star.

"I take drama classes after school and want to be an actress one day," she said.

"I reckon if I was 10 years older it could've been me in Hating Alison Ashley!"
