New voice for ABC listeners

By ZOE SATHERLEY

TRICIA KARP'S calling card is her smooth, easy-to-listento voice.

She is also very gorgeous, but Northern Rivers ABC radio listeners wouldn't know that about their new 'journalist in charge'.

Tricia replaces veteran newsreader Allan Rawson, whose recent sad death just days before his retirement left a pair of very big shoes to fill.

Although she wears dain- ty size seven-and-a-half shoes, like Rawson, she has a big personality with heaps of personal charisma.

Her professional background is in radio and as newsreader and reporter on Adelaide's Channel 7.

"I moved to the Northern Rivers before I even knew this job was coming up," said the 33-year-old new Mullumbimby resident.

"It was time for a change so I did it, believing something good would come up. Now I have a new job, new car and new boyfriend."
