New player in Baggaley saga

A TWIST has emerged in the case of Olympic kayaker Nathan Baggaley, arrested with his brother Dru in November last year.

The pair are alleged principals in an operation to manufacture drugs worth over $2 million. However, in Lismore Local Court yesterday another man, Beutlar Filimoehala, 31, of Ballina, was accused of inciting Nathan Baggaley to supply ecstasy.

Filimoehala is charged with supplying ecstasy, and six counts of inciting a person to commit a crime. Police allege he incited Baggaley to supply ecstasy in the three weeks leading up to their arrest.

The Baggaleys' case was also mentioned in the court yesterday.

No application for bail was made and the brothers remain in custody.

The three cases were adjourned to April 22.
