Netball launches into new season

LISMORE and District Netball Association is gearing up for a busy season, with the very popular twilight netball competition kicking off on Monday, February 14.

Players use twilight netball as a training run to get back into match fitness before the more serious competition commences on Saturday, March 19, or just to enjoy the fun that twilight netball is all about.

If your team would like to have a run on Monday nights give Lyn Webster a call on 6624 2120 or Lynne Sims on 6682 6257. Nominations close on Friday, February 11. Cost is $110 per team.

Representative teams

The 12, 13, 14 and 15 years representative team selections start today at the Marie Mackney Netball Courts from 5.30-7pm.

All players are welcome at selections; don't forget to bring a drink, hat and your netball shoes.

Coaching Clinic

Lismore Netball is holding an Orientation to Coaching (OTC) course on Saturday (March 12) at the Marie Mackney Netball Courts, Ballina Street, Lismore.

All coaches must have their OTC to be able to coach a team so book early if your are going to coach this season. Limited spaces available for bookings, contact Shirley on 6621 6483 a/h or Lyn Webster on 6624 2120.

Clubs wanting to nominate teams for the season must collect their registration pack at the February council meeting, or alternatively at the netball clubhouse in Ballina Street on Saturday, February 26 from 1.30-3.30pm.

Club secretaries must attend on this day to nominate number of teams in each division.

If your club does not pick up a registration pack, your teams will not be included in the draw when the Lismore association competition starts on Saturday, March 19.
