Natalie carries North Coast hopes to Sydney

By Jamie Brown

NATALIE Greenough is on a roll. The fresh-faced third-year law student has been crowned twice in the past 12 months, first as Miss Beef Week in that event's 25th year, and then as Queen of the Casino Show. Now, as the North Coast zone showgirl representative, Natalie will head to Sydney to compete for a NSW crown in the Royal Easter Show which runs from April 5 to 18. Taking out the zone finals was particularly satisfying for Natalie, with girls from Tweed Heads to Taree vying for the envious position. "My life in the past year has been phenomenal," enthused the 22-year-old, who was born and raised at Goulburn, moving to the Casino area three years ago. "I was new to the area when I was voted Miss Beef Week and since then I have met so many wonderful people through Beef Week and the show society." Natalie said her public speaking skills had been honed to the point where she could confidently front several hundred people and talk about herself ... without blushing! But she will need some fortitude before venturing out on stage at the Royal Show, where an audience of several thousand is expected.
