Mystery still sorrounds bodies in car

POLICE have released no new information on the discovery of two bodies in a burnt-out car near Whiporie on Tuesday night.

A police media spokesperson said last night she had been in regular contact with detectives throughout the day, but no new information had been released.

She said there had been no mention of radio reports that a vehicle fitting the description of the 1985 Ford Laser had been seen near Nimbin or Taree.

She said a post-mortem examination was undertaken yesterday, but no results were expected until Monday.

At this stage no details of the sex, age or any other details of the bodies have been re- leased.
