Moran second

GRAFTON squash player Pam Moran has finished runner-up in the Australian Masters in Adelaide. And travelling partner, Aileen Garner, won the Special Plate in division 3 of the 50-54 age group. Moran, 61, competed in the open division of the 60-64 category. After winning her three lead up matches, Moran was beaten 3-nil by Queenslander Robyn Bramberry in the final. "Robyn played really well. I wasn't able to get into the match," Moran said. Bramberry won last year's Australian Masters on the Gold Coast. After Moran's win last year in a lower division of the 60-64 category, officials elevated her to the open section of her age group this year. "They were much tougher opponents," Moran admitted. "It was a great trip. Very, very good, and at least Aileen and I both came home with trophies." Garner, 54, missed the final after an earlier loss but played very well to win the Special Plate after failing to win a match at last year's Masters.
