Monster trucks on track

By Greg Coombes

Bartercard Lismore Speedway is the place to be tomorrow night as Quayside Motors presents Monster Trucks and Modifieds.

The two best performing monster trucks in Australia will turn it on for the fans with the Australian favourite, Outback Thunder, and the recently imported $350,000 supertruck, Bearfoot, rolling into action.

Bearfoot has the most powerful engine of any monster truck seen in Australia, and the most high performance suspension system used.

As well as the awesome monster trucks, the 'bad boys with their nasty nasty toys', the V8 Dirt Modifieds, will be in town to turn it on.

Among the 16 competitors fighting it out will be Mark Robinson in his Valvoline Ford, fresh from a victory last weekend in Brisbane, and returning to Lismore after capturing the Queensland title will be Stuart Herne, in the Farmer Charlie's Chev.

The monster trucks will be on display around Lismore until tomorrow to give the public a close-up look at what makes these trucks so tough.

All the racing action happens tomorrow night from 6 o'clock.
