Lismore Indoor contingent?s assault on Country titles

A BIG squad of Lismore Indoor Swim Team members is headed to Sydney to contest the NSW Country Championships this month.

Seventeen swimmers - Naomi Malcolm, Samantha Wilkinson, Ebony Brewer Charles, Todd Seymour,Sophie Andrews, Branston Brewer Charles, Suzanna Lack, Emma Harris, Sam Clarke, Lara Mitchell, Alexander Roy, Joanna Whitby, Christine Beach, Caville Brewer Charles, Joshua Fisher, Courtney Lack and Hannah Britton - will represent the club and most will be competing at the NSW Country Championships for the first time.

Lack and Britton are disability event swimmers.

It's a remarkable achievement to have such a large squad contesting the NSW Country Championships considering the club only formed two years ago.

They are also the 2004-05 Far North Coast Relay Champions and the FNC Winter Sprint Shield-holder.

Lismore Indoor also won the FNC 13 and Under FNC Championships.

Wilkinson, Ebony, Branston and Cavill Brewer Charles, Harris, Beach, Fisher, Andrews and Malcolm all competed at the State Age titles in January.

Much of the Lismore Indoor Swim Team's success can be attributed to dedicated coaches Ken Malcolm, Shaun Colby and Kerry Seymour.

Malcolm is a Level 2 performance coach, while Colby and Seymour are Level 2 coaches.

The Country championships will be contested at the Homebush Aquatic Centre.
