Lismore boxer continues to rule
MALONEY'S Glove Club (Lismore) boxer Cliff Copeland again proved his dominance of the Far North Coast featherweight division with a powerful display at Kempsey.
Copeland was too strong for Ben Madden of Dorrigo and after a series of body punches late in the second round the referee stopped the fight.
Shannon Bolt of Lismore had a great debut bout against a Nelson Bay opponent.
In the light heavyweight division Peter Diversi of Ballina RSL Youth Boxing Club scored an impressive points win over Trent Bruce of Tamworth.
The Ballina fighter's stamina and perseverance paid off to score a unanimous points win in a tough contest.
