Lismore 15s match it with the State?s best



LISMORE's 15 years netball representatives have beaten some of the best young players in New South Wales.

In what is being hailed as an outstanding performance, Lismore finished sixth in division one ? the best ever achievement at this level.

The success was capped by goalkeeper Talia Smith's selection in the 'highly commended' squad.

Coach Tracey Robinson had nothing but praise for the girls she had mentored in the past several years.

"They rose to the challenge and showed a lot of character," she said.

Lismore and District Netball Association president Lynne Sims: "The 15s' sixth placing is our best ever, and it puts the girls right up with the State's best."

Lismore's 14 years team finished equal 18th in the tough division one competition, while in division two, Lismore was equal 21st in the 13 years and equal 18th in the 12 years.
