Lennox surfer rolls out the barrel

Anthony Walsh of Lennox Head continued his fine form to advance to the fourth round at the Tahiti Nui / VZ Trials at Teahupoo, Tahiti, yesterday.

Walsh, a newcomer to the treacherous Teahupoo reef, will face Liam McNamara of Hawaii in his next heat.

The Air Tahiti Nui/VZ Trials comprises 40 international surfers and 40 Tahitians.

The winner and the highest placed Tahitian in the trials will earn wildcard slots into the Billabong Pro, the third stop on the ASP World Championship Tour (WCT) where they will have the chance to compete for the title against the top 44 surfers in the world.
